July 12th | 2:00-4:00pm

Embrace the bounty of summer with Martha Mae and Andros Taverna.

Tomato season is the best season, so we’re celebrating! Paint tomatoes, eat tomatoes, make friends over a plate of tomatoes. What could be better?

Join artist and Martha Mae Art Supplies and Beautiful Things and The Center of Order and Experimentation owner, Jean Cate, for an in-person tomato study watercolor workshop at Andros Taverna on Saturday, July 12th from 2:00pm-4:00pm.

Dive into the world of watercolors with a tomato feast! From cherry tomatoes on the stem to heirloom tomatoes of varying shapes, the color, textures, and movement of the tomatoes will inspire our paintings. Paint a single tomato model or gather a few varieties to take on a still life portrait. Jean will start class with a tutorial and offer hands-on assistance throughout the session.
To enhance your experience, Andros Taverna will have a table of snacks and drinks set up for you to enjoy throughout the workshop.

All necessary materials will be provided for your painting session (painting supplies not to be taken home), but feel free to bring your favorite art supplies if you have them. Martha Mae will bring a selection of painting tools and gifts that you can purchase post-event.
