Kyupodo is a letterpress in Kyoto, Japan. It is well known for producing "a little mysterious" miscellaneous paper goods informed by story and imagination. Out-of-use letterpress printing machines and typefaces are signature. Katsuro Sakai began Kyupodo as a post-retirement hobby to transcribe the autobiography and travel journals with letterpress printing and it transformed into a successful letterpress print shop. Today, his grandson Souhei Sakai is keeps dreams alive and runs the letterpress.
