This earthenware tray is folded and pinched together like a rustic fruit galette but instead of seasonal fruit it holds water and flowers. You can float blossoms but we like using the japanese ikebana tool called a kanzen, which is a small platform with pins in which to stand stems and flowers upright and at angles in the dish. It transforms even the most humble stray branches into evocative arrangements.
