Notebook Mark Two

The second in Mark and Fold's signature notebook series, which they developed in response to the request for a ‘perfect notebook for every day.’ The Mark Two is their first lined notebook. This A5 notebook has a section-sewn ota-binding. The smooth Olin cream colored pages were milled in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The cover is 35% cotton with a weight of 300gsm, with white foil thumbcut and blind deboss.

Launched in 2015, Mark and Fold specializes in small batch editions of stationary and hand numbered notebooks. Each line celebrates a specific material or binding technique and yet the overall effect is stark, sort of like the beauty of an empty page. As they put it, they try to leave the design, “as blank as possible”. Mark and Fold believes that stationary is something to put ideas into, so they let the materials speak for themselves. Made and sourced in the Uk, unless an extraordinary material calls out from Japan or elsewhere.
