Driven by a shared passion for creativity, excellence and Swiss Made ideals, Mizensir and Caran d’Ache have created a new scented edition of Caran d’Ache pencils. The two family businesses have selected the delightfully retro fragrance “Mémoire d’Ecolier” for the core of four graphite pencils manufactured entirely in Geneva using fine woods. They offer a multi-sensory drawing and writing experience evocative of the memories of childhood. The set includes a pencil made from each of these gorgeous woods:
Western Hemlock - a greyish wood, naturally aged by the elements White Oak - an ivory coloured wood, enhanced by delicate chocolate-coloured veins Silver Teak - a robust grey-brown wood, with elegant satin tones White Ash - a pale wood characterised by long, narrow grooves
Each pencil is Certified FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) Certified OLB (Origin and Legality of the Wood) Wood selected to meet strict quality criteria 4 HB graphite pencils Pencil leads manufactured from 100% natural products Perfumed solvent varnish
Swiss made from 1915 to the present day. Caran d’Ache was founded when Geneva had no other pencil maker. The city was filled with watchmakers and jewelers and that atmosphere of detail and innovation affected this company. They designed the first mechanical pencil, invented the first watercolor pencil and their line of pencils, luminance 6901, won a certificate for the highest lightfastness. In all their products there’s care for the environment in which they source materials, the quality of craftsmanship, and the safety and experience of the people whose hands will eventually hold these tools.
