Swiss Wood Individual Pencil

This pencil's barrel is made from dark beech wood from the Swiss Jura forest--it's beautifully detailed and just what any pencil snob would want from a pencil. You'll find that it's quite a bit heavier than a standard cedar pencil even considering that it's eraser-ferrule-less making it quite comfortable to write with. Due to the beech wood, each pencil has a sweet scent of brown sugar. Sold individually.

 Swiss made from 1915 to the present day. Caran d’Ache was founded when Geneva had no other pencil maker. The city was filled with watchmakers and jewelers and that atmosphere of detail and innovation affected this company. They designed the first mechanical pencil, invented the first watercolor pencil and their line of pencils, luminance 6901, won a certificate for the highest lightfastness.
