The first Rhodia notebook was printed in Lyon, France in 1934. The logo of twin spruces that is still commonly seen, stand for the two brothers who began the company. The trees aren't identical but together. One was an engineer, the other had studied marketing. Later that same year, the brothers bought an old munitions factory and moved production from Lyon, where they had grown up, to Grenoble where they continued to make paper. Rhodia notebooks are still made in France.
