The best scissors are designed for specific cutting projects. To this end, these scissors are engineered specifically for cutting paper. Crafted in Italy, these scissors trace their design back to the 1950’s when flatted handled scissors were first made. Each pair features an elegant gold plated handle paired with durable carbon steel blades. A thin layer of 24 karat gold is applied to the scissors to have a beautiful gold finish that makes them shine.
Each pair is etched with Studio Carta logo on the blade and is packaged in a letterpress paper label.

Made in Italy
In a small street in Boston, tucked away among other shops, sits Studio Carta. This design studio imports a unique line of products from Italy. Begun in 2004 by Angela Liguori. A native of Rome, Angela grew up in the shadow of Saint Peter’s Basilica with her mother’s dressmaking tools all around her. Now Carta specializes in desk tools, scissors, 100% cotton ribbon and other small notions.
